Supplier & Manufacturer of Secondary Refining Furnaces. Our product range also comprises of MSS Converters, Gas Mixing Stations and Fuel Extraction Systems.

Secondary Refining Furnaces

The operation executed at the  furnace is an essential part of the secondary metallurgy treatment, such as refining, adjustment of liquid steel temperature and chemical composition with the target to increase quality of steel.

Features:

  • To make any type of steel. (M.S., Alloy steels & stainless steel)
  • To reduce carbon percentage Decarburization to very low levels (under 0.015 percent) possible Through MSS Converter ,
  • To reduce Sulphur percentage Desulfurization to very low levels (under 0.005 percent), possible through MSS Converter & LRF,
  • To reduce phospers percentage Dephosphorization to very low levels (under 0.010 percent) possible Through MSS Converter,
  • To reduce & increase Nitrogen content percentage Nitrogen to very low levels (under 150 PPM), possible Through MSS Converter & LRF ,
  • To reduce Oxygen content percentage Oxygen to very low levels (under 100 PPM), possible Through MSS Converter & LRF.
  • To reduce Hydrogen content percentage Hydrogen to very low levels (under 1 PPM), possible Through MSS Converter & LRF,
  • Increased carbon removal efficiency, allowing lower carbon specifications Without excessive metallic oxidation.
  • Efficient slag reduction, with stoichiometric amounts of silicon or aluminum to recover 98-100 percent of most metallics.
  • Considerable saving in energy of induction furnace due to low temp working.
  • 30% addition of scrap in Converter helps to save large amount of power Consumption.
  • Precious killed metal formation is possible it helps in smooth casting
  • Unwanted inclusion gases are removed
  • This is the only process wherever narrow range of chemistry is maintained.
  • Power consumptions for this system is very less.
  • This process helps to increase productivity because it is fast process.
  • Lining life of induction furnace increases due to low temp working and fast Processing.

Deoxidation, desulfurization (and, in the case of low alloy steels, dephosphorization), and recovery of desirable metals from the slag are carried out in the Converter vessel. Degassing, homogenization, and inclusion flotation proceed continuously throughout all stages of the process to produce a clean and uniform produce. As a result, the rates of all chemical processes that take place within the vessel are greatly improved.
A major benefit of the process is the degassing of the combination of the inert gas introduced through the tuyers and the carbon monoxide generated during decarburization. Low amounts of residual oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen are achieved without additional processing or expensive degassing equipment.

Secondary Refining Furnaces

We are instrumental in offering Secondary Refining Furnaces which is used for refining of liquid steel which helps in producing high quality structural/alloy steel. Further, it is known for the reduction in dissolved gas content and also helps in the quick recovery of ferro-alloys.
